Trump sets 50-day deadline for Putin to agree to ceasefire with Ukraine

KABUL: U.S. President Donald Trump has recently given Russian President Vladimir Putin a 50-day deadline to reach a ceasefire agreement in Ukraine.

According to Reuters on Monday night, Trump warned that if the Kremlin fails to agree to a ceasefire, further sanctions from Washington will be imposed on Moscow.

He also pledged to send additional weapons, including rockets, to Ukraine.

Speaking in the Oval Office alongside NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte, Trump expressed deep dissatisfaction with Putin’s behavior.

He noted that while Putin is courteous during phone calls, heavy and destructive airstrikes follow shortly after.

It appears that with each passing day, Trump is becoming increasingly stringent regarding the war in Ukraine and Putin’s actions related to it.
