KABUL: The interim government of Syria, under the temporary leadership of Ahmad al-Sharaa, has declared that it has cleared the city of Sweida from tribal militants and that fighting has come to an end.
According to officials, this action was taken following the announcement of a ceasefire to resolve ongoing conflicts between the Druze and Bedouin tribes.
Hamza al-Mustafa, the Minister of Information, stated that the ceasefire aims to protect civilians and limit the scope of the conflicts.
Reports indicate that the government has deployed security forces in the northern and western regions of Sweida, and the Ministry of Health has sent emergency medical aid convoys to the area.
