8 dead, 18 injured due to fall of passenger bus in a valley in Pakistan

KABUL: As a result of A traffic accident on the Islamabad-Lahore highway in Pakistan has resulted in at least eight fatalities and eighteen injuries, Geo News reported today.

According to the report, the accident occurred when a passenger bus veered off the road and fell into a ravine in the Dhok Sial area of the Jhelum district on the Islamabad-Lahore highway.

Pakistani officials stated that initially six people were reported dead and twenty others injured; however, two of the injured later succumbed to their injuries in the hospital.

In a separate incident, a collision involving two vehicles in the Jamshoro area on the Karachi-Larkana highway resulted in two deaths and eight injuries. Among the victims of this incident were women and children.

Traffic accidents in Pakistan have consistently been deadly, claiming the lives of many passengers.
