Supreme Defense Council establish in Iran

KABUL: A few weeks after the twelve-day conflict between Iran and Israel, Iranian state media have reported the establishment of a “Supreme Defense Council” in the country.
The ISNA news agency announced on Sunday night that the council was approved by Iran’s Supreme National Security Council based on Article 175 of the Iranian Constitution.
According to the report, the council will operate under the presidency of the Iranian president.
It will centrally review defense plans and enhance the capabilities of the armed forces.
In addition to the president, the council will include heads of branches of government, military commanders, and representatives from various ministries.
This development comes as Iranian officials have implemented other reformative and strengthening measures following the recent conflict with Israel.
