Araghchi’s reaction to the killing of journalists in Gaza: “The Israeli regime is hated worldwide”

KABUL: Following the killing of four journalists and a cameraman from Al Jazeera, Dr. Sayed Abbas Araghchi, Iran’s Foreign Minister, stated that the Israeli regime is “hated around the world.”

In a post on account on Monday night, Araghchi questioned whether targeting several “prestigious and recognized” Palestinian journalists is a sign of strength or “the terror of a regime that is in free fall.” He added that when all of this is over, the world will remind Western governments of their complicity in these crimes.

Araghchi described the “shameful silence” of Western governments supporting Israel as “deafening.” The Israeli attack on the residence of four Al Jazeera journalists has provoked strong international backlash.

The Israeli Defense Forces have attempted to justify the attack by accusing the journalists of colluding with Hamas, claiming it was necessary to cover up the actions of the best reporters on the front lines reflecting the true situation in Gaza.
