KABUL: The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in a statement has expressed condolences over the recent deadly traffic accident on the Islam Qala-Herat highway.
According to a statement from Arg today, transport officials have been instructed to conduct necessary investigations regarding the accident and identify the responsible parties.
In the statement, the Islamic Emirate calls paradise for the victims of this tragic incident and urges for a swift recovery for the injured.
The Islamic Emirate has described the traffic accident as “painful.”
According to Mufti Abdul Mateen Qani, spokesperson for the Ministry of Interior, 79 individuals lost their lives as a result of the accident.
The incident has sparked reactions from various political figures and citizens on social media. The Ministry of Refugees and Returnees has also expressed its condolences regarding the occurrence of the accident and the deaths of numerous returning migrants as a result.
