KABUL: Armed assailants attacked worshippers in a mosque in the Malumfashi district, Nigeria’s northwestern Katsina State.
Residents of the area reported that the attack occurred during the morning prayer, resulting in at least 30 casualties.
Sources indicate that after the assault on the mosque, the attackers turned to nearby villages, setting approximately 20 individuals ablaze.
Reports suggest that the assailants have been involved in violent conflicts with villagers over land and water disputes for an extended period.
