KABUL: U.S. police have arrested a 22-year-old named Taylor Robinson in connection with the murder of conservative activist and close associate of Donald Trump, Charlie Kirk.
Robinson was taken into custody approximately 33 hours after Kirk was shot and killed.
The governor of Utah stated during a press conference that the suspect was apprehended following surveillance and pursuit by federal and local law enforcement agencies.
Authorities reported that, from the time of the incident until the arrest, police received over 11,000 “leads,” which ultimately led local officials to be alerted by the suspect’s friends.
These individuals reportedly indicated to the police that Robinson had either explicitly admitted or indirectly suggested his involvement in Kirk’s murder.
