KABUL: As the Israeli army launches its ground offensive aimed at the complete occupation of the Gaza Strip, Hamas has declared that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will be held responsible for the lives of Israeli hostages.
Israeli media outlet Haaretz reported this morning that Israel has begun its ground assaults for the full occupation of Gaza, starting from the “Deir al-Balah” area, despite global opposition and with heavy artillery strikes.
With the commencement of these attacks, thousands of displaced Palestinian civilians have been forced to flee their homes.
In a statement, Hamas accused Donald Trump, the U.S. president, of exhibiting “blatant bias” in favor of Israeli propaganda, labeling it a clear example of double standards.
Hamas referred to Netanyahu as a “war criminal” who bears full responsibility for the lives of Israeli hostages in Gaza.
The statement emphasized: “The fate of these hostages is determined by Netanyahu’s terrorist regime.” It further warned that the systematic destruction and fascist campaign being experienced in Gaza also threatens the lives of Israeli soldiers held captive.
Israeli military officials have stated that the complete occupation of the Gaza Strip is expected to take at least six months.
