Explosion of gas tanker in Mexico City; death toll rises to 25

KABUL: The Mexican Health Ministry has reported that the death toll from the explosion of a gas tanker in the Iztapalapa area has risen to 25.

According to Reuters, officials stated that 21 individuals remain hospitalized, while 38 others have been discharged after receiving treatment.

The incident occurred on Wednesday when a tanker truck carrying approximately 50,000 liters of gas exploded after colliding with a wall. The crash and subsequent explosion also resulted in the destruction of 30 other vehicles.

Initial investigations indicate that the tanker collided due to excessive speed and a lack of experience on the part of the driver.
