KABUL: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has reported that the country endured another tough night under extensive Russian attacks, during which 40 cruise and ballistic missiles and 540 drones were launched.

In a statement on his X account today, Zelensky praised the efforts of the Ukrainian military in defending the skies against these attacks.

He noted that the latest Russian assaults resulted in the deaths of at least three individuals and left dozens injured.

Zelensky highlighted the crucial role played by Ukrainian F-16 pilots in intercepting Russian cruise missiles throughout the night.

He stated that these attacks targeted the city of Dnipro and surrounding areas, as well as the provinces of Mykolaiv, Chernihiv, Zaporizhzhia, and communities in Poltava, Kyiv, Odesa, Sumy, and Kharkiv.

The enemy aimed at infrastructure, residential areas, and civilian companies.

The President claimed that in one instance, a Russian missile equipped with cluster munitions struck a residential building.
