Rubio warns Russia: If war in Ukraine doesn’t end, Trump will take necessary action

KABUL: Marco Rubio, the U.S. Secretary of State, recently warned that if Russia’s war in Ukraine does not come to an end, the President will take necessary steps to impose costs on Moscow.
Rubio said in a statement on his X early today that he emphasized during a United Nations Security Council meeting that ending the war in Ukraine is a priority for Donald Trump.
He stated: “I made it clear at the UN Security Council: This war must end. If it does not, the President will take necessary steps to impose costs for the continuation of aggression.”
As the conflict in Ukraine continues and civilian casualties in Gaza from Israeli actions persist, this senior U.S. diplomat claimed that the President is pursuing peace everywhere.
It is noteworthy that Donald Trump has made the end of the wars in Ukraine and Israel-Gaza a prominent theme in his election campaigns, yet none of these promises have been realized.
