Australian Prime Minister defends decision to expel Iranian ambassador

KABUL: Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has called the expulsion of the Iranian ambassador from his country a “historic” move and defended this decision during the United Nations General Assembly.

He noted that this is the first time since World War II that Australia has taken such a step. Albanese emphasized, “There is no tolerance for anti-Semitism.”

Previously, Albanese accused Iran of being involved in two attacks against Jews, and these allegations paved the way for the expulsion of the Iranian ambassador.
