KABUL: The Commission for Addressing Afghan Refugee Issues has reported that nearly 1,500 Afghan families have returned to their homeland forcibly over the past day, with essential services provided to them.
According to the report, a total of 1,494 families, comprising 8,584 members, have been registered, while 1,781 families, totaling 9,697 members, have been relocated to various provinces.
Additionally, cash assistance has been provided to 1,607 families, and 1,181 SIM cards have been distributed.
The returning refugees have been transferred to their homes from various locations, including Islam Qala in Herat, the Silk Road in Nimroz, Spin Boldak in Kandahar, Torkham in Nangarhar, Bhramcha in Helmand, and the capital Kabul.
Officials have emphasized that the process of registering refugees, relocating them, and providing health services and financial assistance will continue.
