Trump: First phase of peace efforts in Gaza to be completed this ceek

KABUL: Donald Trump, the President of the United States, has stated that he has received assurances that the first phase of efforts to establish peace in Gaza will be completed this week.
He spoke about “very positive discussions” with Hamas, Arab countries, and others regarding Gaza peace negotiations.
In a message on his social media platform, Truth Social, on Monday morning, Trump expressed both hope and concern regarding the ongoing process.
He emphasized that technical teams are set to meet again in Egypt today to finalize and clarify details, and he has been informed that the first phase of his 20-point plan concerning Gaza will be completed this week.
Trump stated, “I am also monitoring this centuries-old conflict. Time is of the essence; otherwise, widespread bloodshed will occur—something no one wants to see.”
He added that recent multilateral discussions, including with Hamas, regarding the release of Israeli hostages have been very positive. The President underscored the need for swift actions in this process.
Meanwhile, the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has expressed skepticism about Trump’s rapid plan for Gaza, warning about the “dangerous dimensions” of the proposal and the repeated betrayals by Israel.
