KABUL: The Iranian Embassy in Afghanistan has stated that the development of relations between Kabul and Tehran is fully supported by the Iranian government.
According to a statement from the embassy on Monday night, Alireza Bigdeli, the Iranian ambassador in Kabul, discussed bilateral cooperation and the follow-up on this year’s programs during a meeting with Dr. Sayed Abbas Araghchi, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran.
The statement noted that the meeting focused on reviewing the progress of bilateral cooperation and the continuation of the annual program.
Bigdeli expressed gratitude for the comprehensive support of the government for the development of relations with Afghanistan.

This comes as a high-level delegation from Iran recently visited Kabul for three days to explore ways to enhance economic and trade relations with Afghan officials.
