KABUL: Donald Trump, the President of the United States, during a flight from Washington to Israel stated that the war in Gaza has ended and the Middle East is in the process of normalizing.
The Guardian newspaper reported this morning that the U.S. President is traveling to Tel Aviv coinciding with the release of Israeli prisoners by Hamas and is expected to speak in the country’s parliament.
Following that, he will head to the resort city of Sharm el-Sheik in Egypt to participate in a ceremony with world leaders for the signing of a peace agreement between Hamas and the occupying Israeli regime.
Trump mentioned that he has received numerous verbal assurances regarding Gaza and fully trusts them. He also described the Gaza Strip as devastated and announced that a “Peace Council” will be established to oversee the reconstruction of the area.
High-ranking U.S. officials, including the Secretaries of State and Defense, are accompanying Trump on his trip to Tel Aviv.
This announcement comes as part of the ceasefire agreement between Hamas and the occupying Israeli regime, which stipulates that today the remaining Israeli prisoners held by Hamas and approximately 2,000 Palestinian prisoners from Israeli prisons are to be released.
