Political parties in Pakistan call for resolution of issues with Afghanistan through dialogue

Pakistan’s political parties call for addressing tensions with Afghanistan through dialogue
KABUL: The coalition of opposition political parties in Pakistan has called for resolving the differences and issues between Kabul and Islamabad through dialogue.
Geo News, a Pakistani media outlet, reported on Sunday night, that the coalition emphasized the need for a peaceful resolution of conflicts and urged the government to convene a joint parliamentary session to inform the public about recent developments.
The meeting of the coalition and opposition parties, led by Mahmood Khan Achakzai, the leader of Pakistan’s Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PkMAP), addressed various concerns.
The coalition expressed worries about the resurgence of terrorism and unrest in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, calling on relevant authorities to cooperate with provincial governments and citizens to restore stability.
Members of this coalition criticized what they described as federal government interference in the legal transfer of power in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
It is noteworthy that Afghan forces launched a planned and coordinated operation against Pakistani military posts along the imaginary Durand Line on Saturday night in response to repeated violations of Afghanistan’s territorial integrity by Pakistan.
