Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi meets Afghan nationals and traders in India

KABUL: The Foreign Minister of the Islamic Emirate, Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi, during his stay in India held a meeting and delivered a speech to Afghan nationals and traders residing in New Delhi.

In the meeting, Minister Muttaqi highlighted the achievements of the Islamic Emirate over the past four years, stating that the Islamic Emirate’s balanced foreign policy has opened doors for interaction with all countries worldwide.

Referring to Afghanistan’s strategic location, he noted: “Afghanistan is the junction of South and Central Asia, which has turned into a center of conflict over the past twenty years, but now, in an atmosphere of peace and stability, it has once again become an important point of connection.”

The Foreign Minister emphasized that major projects such as the Qush Tepa Canal, CASA-1000, and TAPI are progressing rapidly, which he considers the greatest achievement of the past two decades.

He mentioned that during his trip, discussions were held with Indian officials regarding the strengthening of diplomatic relations between the two countries, the expansion of trade, and the establishment of a joint committee to increase business opportunities.

Furthermore, the Foreign Minister stated that an agreement has been reached for the establishment of air corridors to facilitate the movement of goods between the two countries, allowing Afghan and Indian traders to transport their goods more easily.
