KABUL: The Indian Air Force has announced a joint exercise involving fighter jets from India and the United Kingdom over the Indian Ocean.
The ANI news agency reported this morning that the exercise involves various aircraft including the Indian Air Force’s Su-30 MKI, Jaguar, AWACS, and AEW&C, along with the Royal Navy’s F-35B fighter jets.
According to the Indian Air Force, the British fighters participated in the exercise from the aircraft carrier HMS Prince of Wales, which is currently on a mission in the Indian Ocean.
The Indian Air Force stated on X that this exercise enhanced interoperability, mutual trust, and a shared commitment to regional stability.
The Indian Ocean, located south of Asia, is bordered by countries such as India, Pakistan, Iran, the Maldives, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Australia, Somalia, and several others.
