KABUL: In response to the bloody attack by the Pakistani military regime on civilians and cricketers in Paktika province, the International Human Rights Foundation (IHRF) has labeled the attack a “crime.”
In a statement released on the evening of Friday, the human rights organization called for the international community to hold the perpetrators of this “crime” accountable.
The IHRF condemned the martyrdom of cricketers in Paktika in the strongest possible terms, stating that the attack on a civilian target is a clear violation of international humanitarian law and the UN Charter of Human Rights.
The organization believes that the deaths of the cricketers highlight the “high human cost” of recent provocative conflicts.
The foundation urged all humanitarian organizations and international human rights defenders to examine this event as a “continuing pattern of violence against Afghan civilians.”
The airstrike by the Pakistani military on civilians and members of the cricket team in Paktika has sparked widespread reactions.
