Trump orders U.S. Nuclear weapons testing

KABUL: Donald Trump, the President of the United States, has announced that he has instructed the Pentagon to commence testing of the country’s nuclear weapons.

In a post on the social media platform “Truth Social,” he added that this decision was made in response to nuclear weapons testing programs by other countries, and that the testing is set to begin “immediately” and “equally.”

He stated: “Due to the testing programs of other countries, I have directed the Department of Defense to commence our nuclear weapons testing equally. This process will begin immediately.”

Trump emphasized that while he does not favor nuclear weapons because of their destructive nature, he felt compelled to order the modernization and rebuilding of these weapons during his first term in office.

The U.S. currently possesses the largest stockpile of nuclear weapons in the world, with Russia in second place, and China expected to match U.S. capabilities within five years due to ongoing efforts.

This comes on the heels of recent developments, including Russia conducting an underwater nuclear test and North Korea launching nuclear-capable missiles during Trump’s visit to South Korea, which can fly for two hours.
