KABUL: The Russian Defense Ministry has reported that it has shot down 71 Ukrainian drones in several regions of the country.
According to the ministry’s statement, among the downed drones, 29 were in Bryansk, 7 in Kursk, 5 in Lipetsk, and another 5 in Smolensk.
Additionally, several drones were also reported downed in Oryol, Tver, Samara, Kaluga, Rostov, Tula, and the Black Sea region.
Simultaneously, Russian forces have made battlefield advances in the cities of Bakhmut in Donetsk and Kupiansk in Kharkiv, and they have taken control of a village in southeastern Dnipropetrovsk.
Ukrainian officials have described the situation in Bakhmut as serious but have assured that their forces will continue to fight.
