KABUL: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirate, in a statement on Tuesday expressed sympathy and condolences over the crash of a Turkish military transport aircraft near the border between Georgia and Azerbaijan.
In the statement, the ministry offered sympathies and condolences to the Turkish government and its people, particularly the families of the victims, wished paradise for the deceased, and a swift recovery for the injured.
The transport aircraft had departed from Azerbaijan yesterday and crashed in the border areas between Azerbaijan and Georgia.
Currently, rescue teams from both countries are working at the site of the incident.
No information has yet been released regarding the cause of the crash or the occupants of the aircraft.
