Pakistan and Israel sign lobbying contracts

KABUL: Reports indicate that Pakistan has signed significant contracts worth hundreds of millions of dollars with lobbying firms in Washington this spring, aimed at enhancing its standing against its historical rival, New Delhi.

The lobbying efforts include strengthening Pakistan’s international position, welcoming Donald Trump’s policies on tariff reductions, and establishing closer ties with the current U.S. administration.

According to the New York Times, such actions are aimed at rebuilding Pakistan’s relationship with the United States and garnering international support.

The Washington Post highlighted that, in parallel with increased diplomatic efforts from Pakistan in April and May, the country has ramped up its lobbying efforts in Washington, tripling its pace compared to New Delhi.

Previously, Pakistan’s Prime Minister had praised Donald Trump extensively on international platforms, even nominating him for the Nobel Peace Prize.

Findings from Al Jazeera indicate that social media efforts have been mobilized among Americans to increase the popularity of Israel, using this strategy like a weapon.

These digital media initiatives aim to foster connections between Israel and American citizens while negatively influencing public perception regarding Palestinians.

Recently, a survey conducted by the University of Maryland found that the popularity of the Israeli regime among American citizens has significantly decreased.

These reports of declining support for Israel among Americans come at a time when countries that previously provided financial and military support to the Israeli regime have also distanced themselves.
