Bin Salman: Agreement on two-state solution needed before normalization with Israel

KABUL: Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman of Saudi Arabia stated at the White House that his country will be part of the Abraham Accords, but a path to a two-state solution between Palestine and the Israeli regime must be secured first.

According to The Times of Israel today, speaking alongside U.S. President Trump, the Crown Prince mentioned that he had a “good dialogue” with Trump regarding the two-state solution before the press conference.

He said, “We want to be part of the Ebrahim Accords, but we also want to ensure that a clear path towards a two-state solution is established.”

This senior Saudi official emphasized that efforts will be made to create a suitable environment for the establishment of both a Palestinian state and the Israeli regime as soon as possible.

Trump interjected during bin Salman’s remarks, stating, “I don’t want to use the word commitment, but we had a very good discussion on the Ebrahim Accords. We talked about both one-state and two-state solutions.”

The Ebrahim Accords are part of a plan initiated by U.S. President Trump during his first term to normalize relations between Middle Eastern countries and the Israeli regime.
