KABUL: The General Directorate of Olympic, Sports, and Physical Education said in a statement today that a four-member team from the National Weightlifting Federation has officially departed for Iran.
According to the statement, the athletes will participate in the sixth round of the international “Fajr Cup,” which will be hosted by Iran from November 26 to 30 of this year.
The statement states that Afghan athletes are fully prepared for the competition and are expected to achieve good results.
This comes after Afghan athletes recently earned gold, silver, and bronze medals at the Islamic Solidarity Games.
