KABUL: A senior official from the Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated in an interview with Al-Arabiya that Damascus is seeking guarantees from Israel for the complete cessation of attacks and interference in Syrian territory.
According to the official, “As long as Israeli attacks continue, any kind of security agreement between the two sides is neither enforceable nor sustainable.”
The official added that Israel’s attacks aim to weaken Syria, noting that since the outbreak of the war against the Assad regime, Israel has conducted thousands of airstrikes on Syria.
Syrian officials emphasize that security stability cannot be achieved without halting foreign attacks.
