KABUL: At least 23 people lost their lives due to a fire in the country, The Hindu newspaper citing officials reported today.
According to the report, the blaze occurred at a nightclub in the “Arpora” area located in northern Goa.
State police officials have stated that all the victims were employees of the nightclub.
Alok Kumar, the chief of police in Goa, indicated that the fire was caused by the explosion of a gas balloon.
He added, “At least 23 bodies have been recovered, and the victims were employees of the same nightclub.”
Natural disasters in India have occasionally claimed lives due to what is cited as a lack of adherence to safety measures.
