Qatar and Egypt call for withdrawal of Israeli forces for full implementation of Gaza Peace plan

KABUL: Qatar and Egypt have requested the withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza and the deployment of an international stabilizing force to ensure the full implementation of the peace plan for the region.

The peace plan, supported by the United States and the United Nations, has significantly reduced violence in Gaza; however, the involved parties have yet to agree on how to operationalize the first step of the ceasefire agreement, which entails the withdrawal of forces and the installation of a stabilizing force.

The Prime Minister of Qatar, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, stated at the Doha Forum, “This is a critical time, and until all Israeli forces withdraw from Gaza, a complete ceasefire will not be realized, and peace will not be established.”

Additionally, Egypt’s Foreign Minister, Badr Abdelattati, emphasized during the meeting that the swift deployment of an international stabilizing force is essential, noting that Israel violates the ceasefire conditions daily.
