Ukrainian forces advance in “Kupyansk” front; Zelensky visits frontline

KABUL: The leadership of the Ukrainian National Guard has reported advances by its forces in the battle for the city of “Kupyansk,” successfully liberating parts of the city from Russian occupation.

According to Kyiv 24, a Ukrainian news outlet, on Friday night, in the meantime, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky shared footage of his visit to frontline troops in Kupyansk, commending their achievements in advancing at this front.

In a video statement at the entrance of Kupyansk, Zelensky noted: “Our fighters are achieving results here for Ukraine. Many Russians were talking about Kupyansk—we can see it now. I was there, I met with the guys from every unit, and I thank everyone fighting here to destroy the occupiers. Achieving results on the front today is crucial for Ukraine to also succeed in diplomacy.”

Additionally, the leadership of the “Charter” National Guard of Ukraine stated that they have successfully liberated areas including “Kindrashivka, Radikivka, their outskirts, and several blocks in the northern part of Kupyansk.”

So far, Russian forces have not commented on the claims of Ukrainian advances.

Previously, the Chief of Staff of the Russian Army had reported the complete capture of the city of Kupyansk in Ukraine.
