Perpetrators of deadly shooting targeting Jews in Australia identified as “Father and Son”

KABUL: Australian police have announced that the shooters involved in the deadly attack on a group of Jews at Bondi Beach in Sydney have been identified as a “father and son.”
CBS News reported this morning that Deputy Commissioner Mali Lanyon of New South Wales, where the incident occurred, revealed that the 50-year-old father was shot and killed by police on the scene, while his 24-year-old son is currently hospitalized.
According to U.S. intelligence officials involved in the investigation, one of the attackers has been identified as “Nawid Akram,” a citizen of Pakistan.
Mr. Lanyon stated that given the health condition of the son, he may face criminal charges, though further details about the two individuals have not been provided.
Initially, police stated they were searching for a third suspect; however, the senior official from New South Wales confirmed that there is no third suspect and that the police are no longer pursuing one.
The shooting during the Hanukkah religious celebration resulted in at least 15 fatalities and injured about 40 others, including two police officers and three children.
