KABUL: Sergey Lavrov, the Russian Foreign Minister, recently claimed that Ukraine launched an attack with 91 long-range drones on the residence of President Vladimir Putin in the “Novgorod” area, according to Reuters on Monday night.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky dismissed this allegation as a “lie,” asserting that Moscow is seeking to create a pretext for an attack on government buildings in Kyiv.
Zelensky asserted that the Russian accusation aimed at “disrupting peace talks.”
In response, the Russian Foreign Minister labeled the supposed Ukrainian drone attack on Putin’s residence as “state terrorism,” stating that “such reckless actions will not go unanswered.” He emphasized that Moscow will reassess its position in peace talks with Ukraine following this attack.
However, it remains unclear whether Vladimir Putin was present at the “Dolgye Borudi” residence, which has been claimed as his location.
