KABUL: American senators have strongly condemned the attack ordered by Donald Trump on Venezuela, labeling it illegal and shameful.
Mike Lee, a Republican senator from Utah, tweeted: “I hope to understand how this action can be justified constitutionally without a declaration of war or authorization for the use of military force!”
NBC News also reported remarks from another U.S. senator, Rubén Gallego, who stated: “We have no reason to go to war with Venezuela. This war is illegal, and it is shameful that in less than a year, we have transformed from the world’s police to the world’s bully.”
It is noteworthy that U.S. forces carried out an attack on Venezuela today under Trump’s orders, capturing the President of Venezuela and his wife.
