KABUL: American media have reported that at least two people have been killed and six others injured due to an armed attack in the country.
The New York Post reported today, that the assailant targeted participants of a funeral service in the parking lot of a church on Redwood Road in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Glen Mills, a spokesperson for the Salt Lake City Police, confirmed the occurrence of the attack to local media. Police officials stated that three of the injured individuals are in critical condition.
Authorities added that all the victims of this violent attack were adults. It remains unclear what the motive behind the attack was and how many suspects were involved.
Investigations and efforts by U.S. police to apprehend the perpetrators of this attack have begun.
Previously, a 36-year-old woman was shot and killed after ignoring directives from immigration officials and continuing to drive.
