U.S. launches new wave of Airstrikes against ISIS in Syria

KABUL: The U.S. military has launched a new series of extensive airstrikes against the ISIS group in Syria, CBS News reported this morning based on information from U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM).
The report states that these airstrikes will target ISIS positions across Syria.
In this round of attacks, U.S. forces will be supported by the aircraft of its allies, although CENTCOM did not specify which countries are participating in the strikes against ISIS targets in Syria.
Previously, France and the United Kingdom had also conducted joint strikes against ISIS in Syrian territory.
It is worth noting that these retaliatory attacks have intensified following a December incident where an ISIS member attacked U.S. forces in Syria, resulting in nearly ten casualties among U.S. personnel.
