KABUL: Iran’s airspace, which was closed due to the threat of a U.S. military attack, has reopened after five hours.
Reuters reported today that the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration noted Iran closed its airspace at 5:15 PM Eastern Time on Wednesday. However, tracking service FlightRadar24 indicated that the notice was removed at 10:00 PM Eastern Time.
Following the removal of the notice, at least five flights from Iranian airlines, including Mahan Air, Yazd Airways, and Ava Airlines, were recorded operating in Iranian airspace.
The airspace closure had occurred after warnings circulated about a potential U.S. military strike against Iran within the next 24 hours.
With the reopening of Iranian airspace after such a brief closure, questions arise regarding whether the U.S. has decided against a military attack on Iran.
