KABUL: Mawlavi Attaullah Omari Minister of Agriculture, Irrigation, and Livestock, during his trip to Baghlan has launched the distribution process of wheat and cash to Afghan returning families, the ministry said in a statement today.
According to the statement, the distribution of the mentioned assistance has started under the directive of the leaders of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA), with plans to provide each returnee family with five 50-kilogram bags of wheat and 5,000 Afghanis in cash.
During the launch of the initiative, Minister Omari emphasized that addressing the issues faced by migrants is regarded as a national and religious responsibility.
For this purpose, specific tasks have been assigned to relevant ministries and agencies to ensure the dignified return of migrants and improve their access to essential services.
He noted that the assistance will not be limited to a single province and will gradually expand to centers and districts across all provinces of the country.
Currently, in the initial phase of this initiative, assistance in the form of wheat and cash is being distributed to 2,200 families in Baghlan Province.
