Tragedy in Karachi: 67 dead, 77 missing after market blaze

KABUL: The death toll from a massive fire at the Gul Plaza commercial market in Karachi has risen to 67, while 77 individuals remain missing.

According to Geo News, only 17 of the victims have been identified so far.

Families of the missing persons have expressed frustration over the delays in rescue operations, leading to protests near the incident site.

Rescue teams have reported that machinery work has been temporarily halted due to fears of the burned building collapsing, complicating the search for the missing individuals.

The fire is said to have started last Saturday due to negligence involving children in a store selling artificial flowers.
