KABUL: Dr. Sayed Abbas Araghchi, Iran’s Foreign Minister, has stated that the U.S. and Iran are at a historic crossroads.
In a post on X on Sunday night, Araghchi shared that in an interview with CNN, he noted that Washington and Tehran have the potential to reach a “fair and comprehensive” agreement to ensure that “no nuclear weapons” exist.
He also mentioned: “The possibility of miscalculations and even aggression exists, emphasizing that Iran is equally prepared for such scenarios.”
Araghchi stressed that a “beneficial outcome” of an agreement for both the U.S. and Iran is achievable, even within a short time frame.
His comments come amid ongoing efforts by intermediaries to broker an agreement between the two sides to prevent military confrontation.
Recently, the Foreign Minister of Qatar visited Tehran and reported on efforts to reduce tensions between the U.S. and Iran.
