Iran-based European Ambassadors summoned

KABUL: The Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced that over the past two days, all ambassadors from European Union member states residing in Tehran have been summoned by the ministry.
Ismail Baghaei, spokesperson for the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said today that the ambassadors were summoned in response to the European Union’s designation of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) as a “terrorist” organization.
The spokesperson emphasized that following the summoning of the ambassadors, Tehran will announce its response to the EU’s decision in the coming days.
Baghaei stated, “A series of actions have been reviewed, and various options are being finalized to be sent to the relevant authorities for decision-making.”
He also stressed that the designation of the IRGC as a terrorist organization by EU member states is an insult to the Iranian people.
It is noteworthy that the foreign ministers of EU member countries reached an agreement on Friday regarding the designation of the IRGC as a terrorist organization.
