KABUL: Following confirmation of the death of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei in U.S.-Israeli strikes, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has announced plans for what it described as an unprecedented offensive operation.
In a statement issued Sunday, the IRGC said the large-scale operation would begin imminently and would mark a historic moment in the record of Iran’s armed forces.
According to the statement, what it referred to as “occupied territories” as well as U.S. bases in the region would fall within the range of the operation.
Meanwhile, Tasnim News Agency, citing the IRGC’s sixth statement, reported the launch of a new phase, described as the sixth wave of Wahda Sadiq 4 “Operation True Promise 4.” The agency said the retaliatory campaign involved extensive missile and drone strikes targeting Israeli territory and U.S. bases in regional countries.
