BLA executed seven Pakistani soldiers

KABUL: The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has announced that it executed seven Pakistani soldiers, accusing them of “war crimes, enforced disappearances, and operations against civilians.”

In a statement released Tuesday, the group said the soldiers had been sentenced to death by what it described as “Baloch National Justice” and were recently executed.

According to the statement, the group had previously proposed exchanging the captured soldiers with the government of Pakistan, but claimed that no action was taken by Pakistani authorities.

The announcement follows reports that, during February, several Pakistani soldiers were taken captive after attacks by BLA-affiliated fighters on military centers in different parts of Balochistan province.
