Over 760 civilians martyred, 626 wounded during 41-day Pakistani military regime’s strikes in Afghanistan

KABUL: The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA) officials said that in the air and artillery attacks of Pakistan’s military regime on Afghanistan from 22 February to 4 April this year, 761 civilians were martyred and 626 others were wounded.

Mullah Hamdullah Fitrat, deputy spokesman of the Islamic Emirate, posted on X today, saying that during this period, some provinces including Nangarhar, Kandahar, Paktia, Paktika, Khost, Kabul, Kunar, Laghman, and Nuristan were targeted.

According to him, during the attacks 34 mosques, 13 schools, 3 clinics, 13 madrasas, 1,114 residential houses, 42 vehicles, have been destroyed and 641 head of livestock have perished.

The statement said that, in addition to the human and material losses, 27,407 families were displaced from their homes as a result of the Pakistani military regime’s attacks.

Fitrat further added that during the stated period the Pakistani forces fired 14,973 rounds of “rockets, mortars and artillery” into Afghan territory.

The report notes that relevant United Nations bodies have characterized the Pakistani military’s strikes on Afghan soil as unjustified and without cause.
