KABUL: Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi, Afghanistan’s Foreign Minister, has described the diplomatic approach between Iran and the United States as a “constructive step.”
According to a statement from the Foreign Ministry today, the remarks were made during a phone call with Dr. Sayed Abbas Araghchi, Iran’s Foreign Minister, where Muttaqi emphasized the importance of resolving issues between Tehran and Washington through dialogue.
He also described bilateral cooperation between Afghanistan and Iran as positive and progressing, highlighting increased trade and expanding collaboration across various sectors.
Meanwhile, Araghchi, welcomed the growing ties and shared updates on the latest developments in talks between Iran and the United States.
Officials from both sides note that economic and trade relations between Kabul and Tehran continue to expand steadily.
