KABUL: Afghanistan Foreign Minister Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi says that all wars in the world have eventually been resolved through diplomacy.
Speaking at the graduation ceremony of the sixth round of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ Diplomatic Training Institute today, Muttaqi emphasized that despite the scale and intensity of global conflicts, diplomatic engagement has always led to solutions.
Referring to recent tensions with Pakistan, he described the latest China-hosted talks between the two sides as positive and stressed the importance of maintaining good relations with neighboring countries.
His remarks come after a month-long period of tensions between Afghanistan and Pakistan, during which earlier talks hosted by Qatar and Turkey reportedly ended without tangible results.
