KABUL: A deadly shooting in Lahore, Pakistan, has left four people dead, including the attacker, according to local media reports.
Pakistani outlet Dunya News reported on Saturday that a gunman opened fire inside a residential unit in the Mazang area of the city, claiming the lives of three people a woman, and two children before turning the weapon on himself.
Police confirmed that two additional children were injured in the attack and are currently receiving treatment at a hospital.
The deceased woman was identified as Ayesha, while the two children killed were named Musfira, 14, and Muneeb, 12. Authorities have identified the suspect as Shahid Jutt.
The motive behind the shooting remains unclear, and investigations are ongoing.
Such incidents of fatal shootings have been reported in various parts of Pakistan in the past, raising concerns about public safety.
