Iran’s Foreign Minister to visit China for bilateral talks

KABUL: Iran’s Foreign Minister Dr. Sayed Abbas Araghchi is set to travel to Beijing, the capital of China, for an official visit, according to media reports.

Reuters reported that Iran’s Foreign Ministry announced the upcoming trip via its Telegram channel, while state media said Araghchi is expected to leave Tehran later today.

During the visit, Araghchi is expected to hold talks with senior Chinese officials on bilateral relations between Tehran and Beijing, as well as recent regional developments.

No further details about the agenda have been released.

The trip comes shortly after Araghchi completed a series of regional visits to Pakistan, Oman, and Russia.

China is considered one of Iran’s closest allies, maintaining strong political and economic ties with Tehran.
