Trump to arrive in China within a day for official visit

KABUL: Donald Trump is expected to arrive in China within the next day on an officially scheduled visit.
China’s Foreign Ministry announced the upcoming visit on Monday, May 11, stating that Trump will travel to Beijing at the official invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping.
According to the statement, the U.S. president will visit China from May 13 to May 15.
The White House had earlier confirmed in a statement that Trump would arrive in China on Wednesday and remain there until Friday.
The meeting between the leaders of the world’s two major powers comes amid ongoing tensions over a range of issues, including war, politics, economics, and trade.
The U.S. Department of State recently imposed sanctions on four Chinese companies accused of cooperating with Iran and helping facilitate attacks against U.S. forces in the Middle East.
