Massive blaze in Balochistan remains uncontrolled after 23 hours

KABUL: A major fire at a customs warehouse in the Lak Pass area of Mastung district in Balochistan has injured around 45 people and destroyed more than 100 vehicles.
Local authorities said more than 23 hours have passed since the incident began, but the fire has still not been brought under control, with rescue operations continuing.
According to reports, five security personnel are among the injured, while the condition of several victims has been described as critical.
Officials said the presence of gas cylinders, fuel, and chemical materials inside the warehouse significantly intensified the blaze. Reports also indicate that a gas tanker exploded during rescue operations, injuring several senior officials.
Authorities in Balochistan have temporarily closed the Quetta–Karachi and Quetta–Nushki highways due to security and emergency measures, saying the roads will reopen once operations are completed.
